This is a condition in which the control of the blood vessels to the
fingers is disturbed and one or more of the fingers become white as the
blood supply is closed off. The hands become clumsy particularly in
cold weather or cold working conditions. It is progressive and
irreversible and has been a prescribed disease since 1985.
